50 stores were shut down in a day for violating anti-smog SOPs.
For breaking government anti-smog standard operating procedures (SOPs), the Lahore district administration closed 50 stores after inspecting 2,576 stores, markets, and shopping malls over the course of the previous day.
Additionally, anti-smog SOP violations were taken at 59 locations, and those found in violation were fined Rs 20,000.
According to information, the city’s assistant commissioner (AC) inspected 480 locations and closed one for infraction. After checking 420 locations, AC Cantt warned store owners about three infractions.
Likewise, AC Model Town inspected 634 locations, closed 10 stores for violating SOPs, and fined them Rs 20,000.
Four stores were sealed after the AC Raiwand examined eight locations. After inspecting 335 points, AC Ravi closed six stores for six infractions, while AC Shalimar closed seven stores.
While AC Sadar investigated 150 locations and sealed eight businesses, AC Allama Iqbal Town checked 55 locations and sealed three shops, AC Wagah sealed seven shops, and AC Nishtar checked 200 sites and sealed five shops.
Washington, DC Citizens should work together to combat smog and protect children, the elderly, the sick, and those with basic needs from the contaminated air, according to Syed Musa Raza. He warned that if anti-smog SOPs are broken, severe measures will be applied without exception.
