60 inland revenue officers are transferred by the FBR.

The FBR announced in a notification that 60 Inland Revenue Service officers had been moved from their existing posts.

In a major administrative shift for the department, officers from Grades 17 through 20 are now part of the reshuffle.

In order to streamline tax payment procedures for taxpayers throughout Pakistan, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) previously unveiled “ePayment 2.0,” a cutting-edge platform.

“FBR is reaffirming its commitment to advancing tax administration and enhancing revenue collection through advanced digital solutions, guided by the government’s vision to modernize Pakistan’s tax infrastructure,” a news release from the FBR stated.

As per the FBR, the novel approach makes it possible for taxpayers to make safe, effective, and easy online payments straight from their bank accounts through internet banking, automated teller machines, and mobile banking, hence removing the necessity for in-person bank visits.

“ePayment 2.0 represents a major breakthrough in revenue management, encompassing a variety of taxes such as Federal Excise Duty, Sales Tax, Income Tax, and Withholding Taxes.” Before IRIS 2.0, taxpayers had to switch between portals to use a different ePayment system.
