4,480 policemen are assigned for Eid-e-Milad security

The birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad will be commemorated today (Saturday) with significant religious fervor and respect nationwide, including in Karachi.
The city is adorned with vibrant illuminations, green flags, and depictions of the Green Dome of the Masjid-e-Nabvi, embellishing mosques, streets, buildings, and junctions.
The ancient city region, characterized by communities deeply rooted in traditional celebrations of the event, resonates with Na’ats and Durood. Individuals vie in adorning alleys and residences. Distribution of complimentary food and sherbet is prevalent at Burns Road, MA Jinnah Road, Karadar, Lyari, Liaquatabad, and similar locales.
Young individuals utilize festive occasions to provide a dish of biryani or qorma to the residence of their romantic interest. The Milads in historic neighborhoods witness girls and women donning their finest attire to recite Na’ats through loudspeakers.
The pinnacle of the day is the principal rally. People express devotion to the Holy Prophet in their own particular style; some will be riding on horses and camels in Arabic dresses, while a float of young girls in fairy dresses reciting Na’at is also a prominent feature.
The police have completed security preparations for the 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal processions, deploying 4,480 officers and personnel throughout the city. The police commander mandated that all procession routes be closely monitored, with traffic officers facilitating the uninterrupted movement of cars.
