Unofficial outcome: PPP secures victory in NA-213 Umerkot by-election

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) secured victory in the by-election for the National Assembly constituency NA-213 Umerkot on Thursday, as reported by Dunya News.

Unofficial results indicate that Saba Talpur, the candidate from the PPP, obtained 148,965 votes to triumph in the NA-213 Umerkot by-election. Lal Chand Malhi of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) secured second place with 74,515 votes.

The polling commenced at 8:00 AM and completed at 5:00 PM without interruption. Minimal participation was observed during the voting. The position became vacant with the demise of PPP leader Nawab Yousuf Talpur.

The constituency has 608,997 registered voters. A total of 498 polling locations were established for voting, and a significant number of police officers were assigned for security purposes.
