There is still flooding in Sutlej, Chenab, and Ravi.

PDMA and other authorities issued data on the water state of the rivers on Saturday, indicating that the flood situation in Ravi, Chenab, and Sutlej is still present.

High levels of flooding in the Ravi River have been reported by the Flood Forecasting Division in Lahore. While there have been reports of a high level flood at Head Sadhanai, the water flow at Head Baloki has climbed to 157,000 cusecs. There is a medium-level flood at Head Sulemanki and Head Sadhanai, and the water flow there is 110,225 cusecs.

At the location of Head, the Sutlej River remains at a high flood level. The Flood Forecasting Division reports that Head Sulemanki has a water flow of one lakh and thirty-two thousand.
The report claims that other locations along the Sutlej River are also experiencing a sharp rise in water levels. While the water flow in Jamlera, close to Burewala, has reached 160 thousand cusecs, the water input and outflow at Head Sulaimanki is 1 lakh 32 thousand 916 cusecs.

In a similar vein, 93 thousand 343 cusecs of water were measured at Melsi Head Syphon and 1 lakh 3 thousand 465 cusecs at Head Islam.

Additionally concerning is the state of affairs in Chenab River. At Chiniot, the water flow has increased to 448,000 cusecs, which is referred to as a high level flood.

However, there have been reports of low-level flooding at the Indus River’s Guddu, Sukkur, and Kotri barrages. To address potential threats, the authorities have instructed the district administrations to step up security and maintain vigilance.

THE STATUS OF WATER AT BARRAGES IN SINDH

The downstream water discharge at Guddu Barrage was measured at 325,046 cusecs, while the upstream water inflow was 360,976 cusecs, according to the Sindh Information Department.

The Sukkur barrage recorded a downstream water discharge of 278398 cusecs and an upstream water intake of 329648 cusecs. Upstream inflow of 237922 cusecs and downstream discharge of 215567 cusecs have been measured at Kotri barrage.

Trimam’s water input and outflow are currently 375,593 cusecs. At Panjand upstream, the water inflow and outflow have been measured at 206439 cusecs.
