Prime Minister Shehbaz travels to Qatar following the Israeli assault on Doha.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif traveled to Doha on Thursday with a senior team to convey Pakistan’s support for Qatar in light of Israel’s recent airstrikes on residential zones in the Qatari capital.

The Foreign Office reports that the premier is joined by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.

The visit, characterized as a demonstration of solidarity, reinforces Pakistan’s steadfast support for Qatar’s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

While in Doha, Shehbaz Sharif will confer with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to express Pakistan’s condolences and solidarity for the Qatari leadership and populace.

The Israeli assault on Doha, aimed targeting Hamas officials, resulted in the deaths of at least seven individuals and incited widespread indignation throughout the Arab world.

Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani denounced the incident as irresponsible and said that it jeopardized the security of the whole Gulf region.

A response will occur from the region. Sheikh Mohammed informed reporters that this response is presently undergoing consultation and discussion with other partners.

He accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of dragging the region into “chaos.”
