Pakistan is experiencing a heatwave as the NDMA issued a high-temperature alert till April 27.

Pakistan is seeing a spike in temperatures as the sun burns brightly over the nation, with hot, dry weather predicted for the majority of the country in the days ahead.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), isolated rainfall is likely in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the rest of the country will remain dry.
Today (Tuesday), the temperature in Karachi is predicted to reach 41°C, marking the third day of a heatwave. The port city is expected to experience the temperatures through April 23. Karachi recorded a high of 40.7°C yesterday, while today’s low was 24°C. As of right now, the temperature is at 28°C.
As the summer heat builds, Lahore is also seeing an increase in temperature. The forecast maximum temperature is 38°C, with a minimum of 24°C. Lahore is currently experiencing 29°C temperatures and 36% humidity, and no rain is predicted for the foreseeable future.
In addition, the PMD forecasted scorching temperatures and dusty winds for a large portion of Balochistan, with light rain possible in some areas of the country’s north.
In an effort to warn of severe temperatures from today through April 27, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a heatwave notice nationwide, advising people to exercise caution and drink plenty of water.
