A climate emergency is declared by the government.

In light of the current monsoon rains and the nationwide flood crisis, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that he has in-principle approval to declare a climate and agricultural emergency.
In order to develop a plan to prevent additional harm from the negative consequences of climate change, the prime minister will shortly call a meeting of the chief ministers of the four provinces and other pertinent officials.
The prime minister presided over a federal cabinet meeting when members were briefed on the magnitude of flood losses before the decision was made. The cabinet was informed that millions of acres of crops and agricultural land had been damaged, and its members proposed actions to restore infrastructure, compensate farmers, and aid in agricultural recovery.
The government vehemently denounced the propagation of inappropriate material and disparaging remarks about the martyrs and the military on social media.
Members also praised the families of martyrs for their sacrifices and paid respect to the officers and soldiers who still protect the nation’s borders. The prime minister stated that it was the duty of the nation to discourage those engaged in nasty activities, and the cabinet ordered tough measures against them.
“The martyrs’ and their families’ tremendous sacrifices will always be remembered by the Pakistani people. The prime minister declared, “I am proud of them, as is the entire country. Major Adnan Aslam Shaheed, who accepted martyrdom during the Bannu Operation, was also prayed for to be promoted.

The “illegal and heinous” Israeli bombing in Doha, which caused property damage and civilian casualties, was sharply denounced by the prime minister. He conveyed his condolences to the royal family, the Emir of Qatar, and the Qatari people for the tragedy.
A proposal from the Ministry of Petroleum to link long-waiting customers to RLNG was also accepted by the cabinet. The Sui Southern and Sui Northern Gas Companies will start expanding these connections after this ruling. According to officials, RLNG will be about 30% less expensive than LPG, which will greatly assist households.
The trilateral intergovernmental framework agreement for a cooperative feasibility study of a strategic rail link between Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Uzbekistan was also approved by the cabinet. The initiative, which was signed last month, is anticipated to significantly increase regional connectivity and trade. The cabinet confirmed its commitment to completing this effort on time by endorsing the agreement.
The cabinet also approved prior decisions made by the Cabinet Committee for Legislative Cases (CCLC), the Cabinet Committee for Inter-Governmental Commercial Transactions (CCoIGCT), and the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC).
The government is currently concentrating on developing a comprehensive response plan to protect livelihoods, restore farmlands, and strengthen the nation’s resilience to climate shocks after the climate and agricultural emergency received in-principle approval.
