ISLAMABAD: The first-ever nationwide cervical cancer prevention campaign in Pakistan has been finalized and is scheduled to launch tomorrow (Monday).

Officials say the immunization campaign will take place in Punjab, Sindh, Islamabad, and Azad Kashmir from September 15 to September 27.

HPV vaccinations and syringes have previously been provided to Azad Kashmir and the federal and provincial governments.

In all, 13 million girls aged 9 to 14 will receive a single dose of the HPV vaccine throughout the campaign.

Madrassas, community centers, fixed sites, public and private girls’ schools, and mobile vaccination units will all offer the immunizations.
