The Sindh High Court’s acting Chief Justice is Justice Zafar Rajput.

Karachi: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has named Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput as its interim Chief Justice.
According to a law ministry announcement, President Asif Ali Zardari appointed the senior puisne judge of the SHC to the post in accordance with Article 196 of the Constitution.
He will assume the position from the moment he entered office until the “appointment of regular chief justice by the Judicial Commission of Pakistan,” it further stated.
On Monday, September 15th, the interim Chief Justice will take the oath of office. As the SHC’s acting Chief Justice, Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori will administer the oath from the Justice.
Today marked the end of Justice Junaid Ghaffar’s tenure as Chief of the Sindh High Court.
On February 14, 2025, Justice Junaid Ghaffar was sworn in as the Acting Chief Justice.
He has been in that position since Justice Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui’s term ended.
On October 16, 1965, Justice Rajput was born in Hyderabad.
He completed his master’s degree in international relations at the University of Sindh, his bachelor’s degree in arts at Government City Arts College, and his law degree at Government Jinnah Law College.
In 1990, Justice Rajput registered as an advocate with the Sindh Bar Council, and in 2001, he was appointed as a high court lawyer.
Prior to his 1993 selection as a judicial judge, he practiced law for three years.
On August 31, 2013, he was promoted to the rank of SHC judge.
