Flooding decreases at Guddu while it reaches its pinnacle at Sukkur Barrage, according to the Sindh Chief Minister.

KARACHI: “By the Grace of ALLAH, the water level at Guddu Barrage is decreasing, while it has reached its zenith at Sukkur Barrage,” stated Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister of Sindh stated that the floodwater is progressing downstream to Kotri, emphasizing, “Our primary priority is to preserve lives.”
He stated that staff were assigned to all areas when the floodwaters encroached upon the katcha region. The chief minister stated that evacuation efforts continue in flood-affected regions.
“We had devised a plan a month prior to the flood and were diligently working towards the established objectives,” stated Murad Ali Shah.
The chief minister praised Bilawal Bhutto’s foresight for advocating the declaration of an agricultural emergency, noting that the prime minister swiftly enacted this measure.
“We demand a review of the agricultural tax, as it should not adversely affect farmers,” stated CM Shah. The chief minister stated, “We will announce a package for farmers next week.”
He stated that the FBR’s revenue collections will be impacted; but, we will meet our objectives.
Murad Ali Shah cautioned of a calamity if the agricultural emergency is not adequately executed. He stated, “A wheat shortage is anticipated in December and January.”
“Wheat production has decreased by 20 percent this season,” he stated.
