Saudi F-15 aircraft accompany Prime Minister Shehbaz’s plane in a cordial aerial reception.

RIYADH: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif landed in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday for an official visit, greeted with a cordial display of camaraderie as Royal Saudi Air Force F-15 fighter jets escorted his aircraft upon entering Saudi airspace.

During his unique trip, Prime Minister Shehbaz conveyed his appreciation to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, and to King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for the generous aerial reception.

The visit is at the behest of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, with the Prime Minister accompanied by a distinguished delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and federal ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Attaullah Tarar, Musadik Malik, as well as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.

Prime Minister Shehbaz is set to conduct a bilateral meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to evaluate the comprehensive scope of Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations during the visit.

The leaders will discuss perspectives on regional and global trends of shared interest, with the objective of enhancing cooperation across several domains.

The visit is expected to cement cooperative agreements across multiple areas, demonstrating both countries’ mutual dedication to strengthening and extending their enduring fraternal bond.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia maintain a historic connection founded on common faith, values, and mutual trust. Prime Minister Shehbaz’s visit will offer a significant chance for the two leaders to strengthen their unique alliance and explore new channels of collaboration for the benefit of their respective populations.

The visit occurs soon after his return from Doha, where he participated in the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit organized in reaction to Israeli assault.

Subsequent to his visit to Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister will go to the United Kingdom, where he is slated to confer with British authorities and deliberate on augmenting bilateral collaboration.

On September 21, Prime Minister Shehbaz will go to the United States to attend the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session in New York. He is expected to participate in the High-Level Conference on the Two-State Solution for Palestine on September 22.
