Swat and the neighboring territories are shaken by an earthquake of magnitude 4.2.

In a panic, people began reciting passages from the Holy Quran as they emerged from their houses. There were no reports of fatalities or property damage from the earthquake in any area of Swat.

The National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad reports that the earthquake’s epicenter was 184 kilometers deep in Afghanistan’s Hindukush mountain range.
