Following the cypher case ruling, Barrister Gohar advises workers to maintain their composure.
DUNYA NEWS, ISLAMABAD – Barrister Gohar, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), asked party members to maintain composure on Tuesday in the wake of the PTI founder’s 10-year harsh sentence in the cypher case.
In the closely watched episode, the special court created under the Official Secrets Act handed down a 10-year severe jail term to the PTI founder and his close aide Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the cypher case.
Barrister Gohar advised the party officials not to take the law into their own hands and to concentrate on the elections on February 8 while speaking to journalists at the Islamabad High Court.
Gohar declared, “Every case being brought against us is being handled against the law and the constitution.”
He asked party members to have patience as the party will appeal the decision to the Supreme Court and the High Court.
There are attempts to deflect our focus from the polls on February 8. On election day, we’ll hold them accountable,” he declared.
