CM Maryam opens Mayo Hospital’s first co-ablation cancer treatment facility.

The most cutting-edge co-ablation cancer treatment facility in Pakistan was opened at Mayo Hospital in Lahore by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

Speaking at the event, she claimed that Punjab was the first to use this state-of-the-art cancer treatment equipment, which isn’t even accessible in India.

According to Maryam Nawaz, this technology has already been used to successfully operate on two patients, giving cancer patients new hope. She added that while more equipment is being acquired to treat various cancers, she examined this technology during her trip to China and gave the order to bring the machinery to Pakistan.

In order to create a poll for physicians and staff, the chief minister of Punjab ordered the installation of five additional machines.

In addition to meeting with the physicians and paramedical staff of the first ablation center and expressing gratitude for their efforts, CM Maryam gave instructions to hire master trainers for ablation treatment.

Additionally, Maryam Nawaz engaged with a cancer patient receiving ablation therapy.

The Chief Minister was told by senior radiologist Dr. Shehzad Kareem Bhatti on how the ablation equipment operated.

She was told that the ablation machine eliminates cancer cells by heating them to 83°C after first freezing them with liquid nitrogen to minus 198°C.

According to the briefing, the patient was able to walk within a few hours following a 60–120 minute operation. The cost of treating one patient with the ablation machine is approximately Rs1.6 million.

Additionally, it was disclosed that the ablation machine was being utilized to treat breast, lung, and liver cancer in its early stages.

The first five patients to recover from ablation treatment were met by CM Maryam. Rana Muhammad Asghar was among the patients who expressed gratitude to CM Maryam Nawaz and referred to her as a benefactor.

The ablation machine was used to cure the liver cancer of Rana Muhammad Asghar. He, alongwith Muhammad Akram, Ms Parveen, and Iqbal Bano, are among the first five patients to receive cancer treatment through ablation.

China has provided training for bioengineers, technicians, and senior interventional radiologist Dr. Shehzad Kareem Bhatti.
