Pakistan want closer commercial ties with Dhaka.

The Pakistani commerce ministry stated on Tuesday that the country is looking to improve its trade ties with Bangladesh in the areas of medicines, automobiles, and minerals.

This happened after Ihsaan Afzal Khan, the prime minister’s commerce coordinator, went to a networking event in the Bangladeshi capital between the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI).

Khan emphasized the increase in trade between Pakistan and Bangladesh during his discussion with DCCI President Taskeen Ahmed and others. He pointed out that business groups on both sides were looking more closely at potential in the automotive, pharmaceutical, and mineral industries.

According to the Pakistani commerce ministry, Khan “reaffirmed his commitment to creating a comprehensive and conducive environment for businesses from both countries.” “He emphasized that new opportunities for bilateral trade and investment would be made possible by improved private sector cooperation.”

According to the Pakistani foreign office, Dar met with Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus during his two-day visit to Dhaka and informed him of the main results of his trip. He also thanked him for the “warm hospitality” shown to him and his group.

Around the same time, Pakistan’s Commerce Minister Jam Kamal was in Dhaka to explore commercial and agricultural cooperation, and in April, Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch conducted the country’s first bilateral meetings with Bangladesh in fifteen years.
