Prior to being repatriated from Amritsar, a Pakistani national passes away from cardiac arrest.

According to officials, Abdul Waheed, a 69-year-old Pakistani national, passed away in Amritsar on Wednesday from a heart arrest just before he was scheduled to be deported back to his homeland.
Waheed had been living in India for the previous 17 years, but it was recently discovered that his visa had expired, according to a Times of India story. The Jammu and Kashmir Police transported him from Srinagar to Amritsar so that he could be repatriated across the Attari border.
Separately, 224 people entered India via the Integrated Check Post (ICP) at Attari. These people were both Indian and Pakistani nationals with No Obligation to Return to India (NORI) visas. At the same time, 139 citizens of Pakistan went back to their homeland.
Monika Rajani, a 35-year-old Pakistani national with a NORI and Long-Term Visa (LTV) status, was one of the individuals who entered India. Her five-year-old daughter, Saimara, who was born in India, was with her.
“I frantically crossed from Pakistan because I thought the border might close at any time. I was married to a Hindu man from Vijayawada nine years ago, and I’m from a Hindu family,” Monika stated. She was greeted at the ICP by her husband and in-laws.
