Significant weather warning: Pakistan is expected to see heavy rain and thunderstorms.
An advisory warning of unpredictable weather conditions that are predicted to prevail throughout the nation from now until May 5 was released by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Thursday.
The advice states that rain, high winds, and thunderstorms are possible in a number of areas during this time, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, northeast Punjab, and northeast Balochistan.
The NDMA further warned that citizens should take precautions because certain regions in Sindh are also anticipated to experience rainfall and strong winds.
The authority said that all relevant agencies and local administrations have been told to maintain vigilance and make sure they are prepared to handle any emergency situation brought on by the shifting weather.
