“Justified complaints” about surveys that need to be addressed: Solangi
On Monday, Murtaza Solangi, the acting minister of information, broadcasting, and parliamentary affairs, promised that anybody with legitimate grievances about the elections will receive legal remedies.
The minister stated, during a chat programme on a private news station, that the concerns over the polls were being considered in the appropriate venue.
In response to a question, he stated that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has already provided an explanation for the delay in the election results.
He acknowledged that certain locations were experiencing weather-related and security-related issues, but said that the caretaker government—especially the Interior Ministry—had done its duty by organising the largest democratic exercise in the nation in a free, fair, transparent, and nonviolent manner.
He noted that almost 18,000 candidates ran in the elections, and more than 60 million people were able to vote thanks to the installation of 90,000 polling places.
