ECP refutes claims that the general election was rigged.
Allegations of election tampering have been categorically denied by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
A statement claims that despite challenges, the commission was able to conduct peaceful and well-organized elections on February 8 and is moving quickly to address the issues.
According to the ECP, the election was a huge operation that went off without a hitch.
In 2018, the commission said that it had successfully received the first result at 2 p.m. instead of 4 a.m.
The ECP acknowledged that the loss of internet access caused an operational impact.
According to the commission, the election results were finished in one and a half days, with the exception of a few constituencies, whereas in 2018 it took three days.
