Pakistan and the UK promise to increase collaboration across a range of fields.

In their meeting with UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper on Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar reaffirmed the two countries’ commitment to strengthening cooperation in the political, economic, and development sectors as well as to continuing to engage closely on matters of shared interest.
The two leaders spoke on a variety of topics of shared interest during their meeting on the margins of the 80th UN General Assembly, such as the long-standing alliance between Pakistan and the UK, trade and investment, and collaboration in multilateral forums.
They also discussed local and international events.
The deputy prime minister emphasized the significance of the Pakistani diaspora in fostering people-to-people contacts and the need to further develop the complex relationship between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
