Pakistan and Sri Lanka renew their pledge to strengthen their bilateral relations.

In the upcoming years, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have reaffirmed their resolve to working closely together to further develop their bilateral ties.

The pledge was made at a meeting between Sri Lankan President Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on the fringes of the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York on Wednesday.

The friendly atmosphere of the meeting demonstrated the goodwill that now exists between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

The two dignitaries discussed a wide range of topics, such as defense cooperation, cultural exchanges, bilateral trade, high-level exchanges, and educational cooperation. There was also discussion of a number of regional and international topics.

The strong bilateral ties between Pakistan and Sri Lanka were praised by both leaders. They pledged to keep collaborating closely in order to make sure that these relationships would only get stronger in the years to come.

The two presidents decided to improve their interactions in sports, especially cricket. Both parties committed to staying involved in order to further the bilateral ties between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
