Pakistan demands that the global financial system be reformed.

Pakistan demanded on Wednesday that the debt crisis be resolved, that development and climate funds be increased, and that a fair and inclusive global economic system be established.

Speaking at the United Nations’ “First Biennial Summit for a Sustainable, Inclusive and Resilient Global Economy,” Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar emphasized that inequality has been sustained by the current global financial system.

He emphasized the growing finance gap for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), developing nations’ unmanageable debt loads, and the rapidly worsening climate problem.
