Support for China’s Global Development Initiative vision is reiterated by Pakistan.

On the fringes of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended the high-level gathering of the Global Development Initiative (GDI) in New York on Wednesday.
Under the theme “Recommit to our Original Aspirations, United to Build a Brighter Future for Development,” Chinese Premier Li Qiang presided over the gathering.
World leaders convened to discuss collaborative efforts towards sustainable development.
The Pakistani prime and his Chinese counterpart engaged in a casual discussion at the ceremony, emphasizing the long-standing partnership between China and Pakistan. Among the important attendees of the high-level meeting was United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, with whom he also shared his opinions.
Priorities for development and common global goals dominated the conversations.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s involvement demonstrated Pakistan’s dedication to China’s Global Development Initiative, which is widely regarded as a major step in promoting sustainable growth on a regional and global scale. His attendance at the gathering demonstrated the closeness of Pakistan-China relations, which are frequently referred to as an all-weather friendship. Additionally, the exchange reinforced Islamabad’s backing for Beijing’s modernization agenda.
During his visit to China just last month, PM Shehbaz referred to President Xi Jinping’s GDI goal as an essential means of attaining sustainable development worldwide. He emphasized at the time how crucial teamwork was to turning this initiative into real outcomes.
