As the ICC hearing comes to an end, Haris Rauf is probably going to be fined 50%.

Following the conclusion of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) hearing on the 31-year-old and opener Sahibzada Farhan, Pakistani pacer Haris Rauf is expected to receive a 50% fine.

After the Indian team management filed a complaint, the players were called in. The issue pertaining to the Pakistani cricket players was discussed during the hearing, which took place in a hotel.

Sources claim that Suryakumar Yadav would be hit with a 15% fine, while Haris Rauf is expected to receive a 50% fine. In the instance of Sahibzada Farhan, no financial sanctions are anticipated.

Both players were questioned about their gestures throughout the game. Sahibzada Farhan and Haris Rauf denied the accusations and defended their actions.

The gun celebration, which has been employed by many athletes in the past, is a show of delight, according to Sahibzada Farhan. The gesture is common in Pakistan as a cultural display of happiness, he said, citing M. S. Dhoni and Viv Richards as examples.

“We are Pathans; gun celebrations are a part of our tradition during moments of joy,” Sahibzada Farhan said to the match referee during the hearing.

His motions were not meant to offend anyone, Haris Rauf explained. In response to the criticism of the ‘6-0’ hand signals, he clarified that in cricket, ‘6’ means a six and ‘0’ means a duck. He requested clarification from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) over the interpretation of his gestures. He insisted that the accusation against him should be dropped because it was unclear.
