“Encouraging” is how Prime Minister Shehbaz characterizes his meeting with President Trump.

He met with US President Donald Trump, which Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called encouraging on Friday.

He told reporters here that he spoke with President Trump and talked on the economy, counterterrorism, minerals, artificial intelligence, IT, and cryptocurrency. He went on to say that the US is ready to invest in commerce, IT, and other areas.

In addition to thanking President Trump for resolving tariff concerns, Prime Minister Shehbaz stated that trade agreements between the US and Pakistan will be founded on shared interests and that the value of minerals between the two nations would be fairly assessed.

He said that India was beaten militarily by the Pakistani Armed Forces between May 6 and May 10. “The Pakistan Armed Forces have received divine assistance for which there is no sufficient gratitude.”

He went on to say that the Pakistan Army was ably led by Field Marshal Asim Munir throughout the conflict.

Field Marshal Asim’s statement that “we have won the war” was reiterated by Prime Minister Shehbaz. We attacked everywhere, brought down seven of their planes, and left them perplexed.

The prime minister also spoke about his trip to Saudi Arabia, where he claimed to have received a lavish welcome. “I have never witnessed such a reception in the last 40 years,” he said.

He claimed that a few years ago, the nation was having difficulties. Economic difficulties existed when I assumed office, and inflation was at 32%. However, in just a year and a half, it has now dropped to single digits. The policy rate was 22.5% at the time, but it is currently only 11%.

He commended Pakistanis living abroad as excellent representatives of their nation, noting that they sent $38.5 billion to Pakistan in the most recent fiscal year 2024–2025.

He described the nation’s economic status as stable “at the micro level.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz had earlier told reporters in New York that Pakistan had won the battle against India and now desired peace with its neighbor.

After winning the war against India in May of this year, he claimed, Pakistan now wanted peace since it was a fundamental component of its foreign strategy.

He went on to say that Pakistan supported diplomatic and dialogue-based peaceful dispute resolution.

“When will Pakistan end terrorism?” was a mocking question posed by an Indian journalist. He responded that “Pakistan is fighting the terrorism that was imposed by India.”

He said that he once again expressed gratitude to President Trump and his team for their wise and proactive involvement in facilitating the truce between India and Pakistan.

He emphasized that failure to halt the war would have disastrous repercussions, and he added that Pakistan has nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.
