CM Murad mandates immediate road repairs in Karachi.

The chief minister, who presided over a meeting at CM House, voiced concern about the extensive road damage brought on by the recent monsoon rains, pointing out that inadequate drainage infrastructure had made the issue worse.
He gave town administrations and the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) instructions to create plans for restoration projects under the direction of the Local Government Department. He stated that “no plan will be approved without a parallel drainage plan, and every damaged road must either be repaired or completely reconstructed.”
Additionally, the chief minister connected increased road infrastructure to increased economic activity, urban mobility, and public welfare. He went on to say, “Karachi is the economic backbone of the nation; its infrastructure must reflect this reality.”
