CPEC Phase-2 has begun, according to Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, who also mentioned that a corridor will be built to link Gwadar and the mines of Balochistan.
“It is an honor for me to chair the 11th out of 14 high-level meetings of CPEC,” Ahsan Iqbal told reporters in Beijing. CPEC Phase 2 has been formally begun by the 14th JCC.

According to the minister, exports are the cornerstone of sustainable development since the Growth Corridor aims to boost Pakistan’s exports and quicken economic growth.
He claimed that Pakistan had a negligible portion of China’s two trillion dollar exports and suggested levying duties on ASEAN-based Pakistani goods. The innovation corridor’s goal is to establish a digital silk road by leveraging China’s technological expertise.
According to Ahsan Iqbal, the Infrastructure Corridor entails building transportation infrastructure for regional connectivity with Afghanistan and Central Asia, while the Green Energy Corridor will encourage collaboration in tackling and preparing for climate change threats.
According to him, youth make up a substantial chunk of Pakistan’s population, CPEC Phase 2 would involve youth in the country’s development, and 10,000 young people are expected to study PhDs in new and emerging technologies at 50 major Chinese universities over the course of the next ten years.
Training will assist in laying the groundwork for Pakistan’s economy to be based on contemporary technology. By giving Pakistan’s youth digital skills, we can bring about an economic revolution in the next 20 years,” the minister continued.
Our main objective is to provide Pakistan’s youngsters with up-to-date instruction and training. China’s collaboration in skill-based technical education and training has also been discussed.
Pakistan will overcome poverty by following China’s lead. China’s experience can be used to enhance public wealth and sustainable development in the nation.
In addition to talks on the creation of a mineral corridor to link Gwadar with Balochistani minerals, there was an agreement to quicken the pace of work on the second phase of the Karakoram Highway, the minister said.
