Selected Candidates Holding Multiple Seats Will Give Up One Before Taking the Oath
The Pakistani Election Commission has requested that candidates who won several seats in the general elections of 2024 give up one of those seats before to taking the oath of office.
The candidates have been advised by the Commission to apply to the Office of the Chief Election Commissioner in Islamabad or the Provincial Election Commissioner in Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan in order to give up their seats.
Before becoming lawmakers, the candidates will just need to hold the one seat they desire.
Before the oath is taken, ECP requests that successful candidates who hold several seats give up one.
