During a Senate session on Tuesday, newly elected Senator Rana Sanaullah was sworn in.

Senator Sherry Rehman administered the oath. Later, MPs from different political parties attended a luncheon held in honor of the senators at Aiwan-e-Sadr by Acting President Yousaf Raza Gillani.

Participants in the meeting talked about the general state of politics both domestically and internationally. In places hit by flooding, they also examined current relief and restoration initiatives.
