Five workers from a gas firm were abducted in DI Khan.

On Thursday, five employees of a gas pipeline firm and their car were abducted by unidentified armed persons near the Daraban police station in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s DI Khan district.

Attackers stopped the company’s car, which belonged to the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited Sar Dagar camp in Daraban, on the Dera–Zhob Road close to Zarkanai.

The personnel that were kidnapped were named as Christian worker Suraj Kumar, driver Ramzan, foreman Khurshid, Khalid Mushtaq from Punjab, and Adnan from Lakki Marwat.

According to sources, armed guys abruptly stopped the victims while they were in the company car and dragged them to an unidentified place. The reason for the kidnapping has not yet been identified.

Checkpoints and roadblocks have been erected around the surrounding areas to find the kidnappers, and police officials stated that a search operation was started right away after the event.

The event has caused dread and panic in the area, and locals are calling on the government to act quickly to restore security in the area and guarantee the safe return of the employees who were kidnapped.
