visit to Gaddafi Stadium by the security delegation from New Zealand
Today, the New Zealand security group, which included security expert Reg Dickason and CEO of the New Zealand Players Association Heath Mills, paid a visit to Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
During the tour, the party was joined by Usman Wahla, Director International of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and Col. Khalid, Director Security Department of the PCB.
The PCB officials briefed the party on the security plans for the April T20I series against New Zealand.
The tour party had also visited Rawalpindi to review the New Zealand side’s security measures.
Before Pakistan’s planned trip to England in April, New Zealand will go to Pakistan for a series of five Twenty20 international cricket matches.
The New Zealand team last visited Pakistan in April of last year to play a five-match ODI series after a T20I series.
A thunderstorm in Rawalpindi caused one of the T20I series’ matches to conclude in a 2-2 tie.
In the meantime, the home team won the ODI series with a resounding 4-1 record.
