PM Shehbaz promises to turn Pakistan into a center for investment in the region.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan will become a regional center for investment. The Prime Minister led a high-level discussion in the federal capital about the country’s economy and foreign investment. He stressed how important it is to build a strong economy on solid foundations. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan, and other important ministers and officials, such as Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar. Pakistan’s trade deficit is getting worse because imports are going up and exports are going down. The meeting talked about current and planned development initiatives, economic trends, and ways to get more foreign investment. PM Shehbaz said that the private sector needs to be actively involved in planning economic activities. He also told the relevant ministries and organizations to make sure that international investors have access to all the services they need. He went on to say that the recent good economic news shows that international investors are becoming more confident in Pakistan’s economy. He also said that the government is still committed to make the country a good place for investment in the region.
