JI calls Hamas’s response to the Gaza Peace Deal respectable.

Jamaat-e-Islami has hailed Hamas’ response to the proposed peace deal for Gaza, calling it a “responsible and dignified step toward a peaceful resolution.”
Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, the head of Jamaat-e-Islami, said in an official statement that Hamas’ answer shows what the Palestinian people want and what they know. He praised Hamas for being mature and responsible in how it dealt with the proposed peace agreement.
Hafiz Naeem said that Hamas does not want a temporary truce; they want a lasting ceasefire. He said that the group’s demand for a prisoner exchange under the right conditions was absolutely reasonable. He also supported the demands for the complete evacuation of Israeli troops and the creation of a Palestinian technocratic government, not one imposed by outside powers. He called both of these demands completely reasonable.
He also said that mediators would work out the finer points of these issues and complimented Hamas for not using any superfluous or aggressive language in their official answer.
Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman told Pakistan and all Muslim countries to back Hamas’ position and welcome it. He said it was a smart and logical move toward a fair and sustainable peace.
