The ‘intervention’ of the PPP in Punjab issues is unconstitutional: Azma

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders are allegedly violating the Constitution by meddling in Punjab matters, according to Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari.

The minister responded to remarks made by PPP leadership on the Punjab government’s approach during the recent floods by stating that it is unconstitutional to meddle in a province’s internal affairs.

“The PPP consistently meddles in Punjabi issues, going beyond its constitutional authority. The provincialism card is being played by those who criticise everything. They are either scared of Maryam Nawaz’s popularity or have lost their minds.

“You have a government in Sindh; tell the country why you didn’t purchase wheat from the farmers. No other province has to grant Punjab permission to use its water. All of Punjab’s resources belong to its citizens first and foremost.

According to Azma Bokhari, Punjabi farmers would be granted their entitlement to water at all costs by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Maryam Nawaz discusses the Punjabi people’s rights.

The province where the PPP has held power for 17 years has been beset by issues, according to the provincial information minister.

Punjab will never forget how the PPP ridiculed its citizens’ troubles when they were present. “The Punjabi people will never forget the PPP’s negative attitude,” she continued.
