At the age of 94, veteran actress Sandhya Shantaram passed away.

Sandhya Shantaram, the seasoned star, died on Saturday. Her age was ninety-four.

Vijaya Deshmukh was Sandhya’s birth name on September 13, 1931.

She starred in Amar Bhoopali (1952), a Marathi film directed by the renowned V Shantaram.

Later, Sandhya Shantaram contributed to other classics, such as Navrang (1959), Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baaje (1955), and Parchhain (1952).

Sandhya married V Shantaram in 1956. Prior to his passing in 1990, the director was married three times.

Sandhya has the chance to demonstrate her Kathak abilities in Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baaje.

She maintained her fame as a result of the movie’s demonstration of her dance abilities.

The actress first became well-known in 1961 when she portrayed the title character in the film Stree.

Her spouse, V Shantaram, was both the director and the actor of the movie.

In several moments, the director chose to use actual lions.

In order to prepare for these shots, Sandhya famously shared a cage with lions and avoided using a body double.

Chandanachi Choli Ang Ang Jali (1975), a Marathi film, was her final motion picture appearance.

Social media saw condolences to Sandhya as the news of her passing broke.

“We shall always treasure her legendary parts in films like Pinjra, Do Ankhen Barah Hath, Navrang, and Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baaje.

“Her incredible talent and captivating dancing abilities have made a lasting impression on the film industry.”
