ECNEC authorizes nine upgrading projects totaling Rs355.736 billion.

At the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) meeting, which was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, nine development projects totaling Rs. 355.736 billion were approved in important areas such as energy, transportation, education, water resources, trade facilitation, tourism, and post-disaster recovery.
The integrated tourist development project (kite) and improvements to rural accessibility are among the projects approved for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Other significant approvals included the construction of Mangi Dam with a water conveyance system in Quetta, early learning classroom transformation in Sindh, and flood rehabilitation projects to repair vital infrastructure in Sindh.
The committee also approved the Dasu Hydropower project in principle, the construction of customs digital enforcement stations by FBR, the reinforcement of the transmission system in Islamabad and Burhan, the special repair of 100 diesel-electric locomotives, and the creation of an integrated transit trade management system.
Ishaq Dar, the deputy prime minister, reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting resilient, sustainable, and inclusive development in all of Pakistan’s regions.
