Saudi Arabia’s GO Telecom is going to open an AI Hub in Pakistan.

Pakistan’s Ministry of IT and Telecommunications said that Saudi Arabia’s GO Telecommunications Group will open an Artificial Intelligence (AI) hub in Pakistan later this month. The facility will help encourage digital innovation, create AI-based solutions, and give young people in Pakistan more authority.
Minister for IT and Telecommunications Shaza Khawaja went to Saudi Arabia to talk about how to improve cooperation between the two countries under Saudi Vision 2030 and Pakistan’s National AI Policy 2025.
Minister Khawaja met with Yahya bin Saleh Al-Mansour, the CEO of GO Telecom, in Riyadh to talk about working together on digital infrastructure, AI development, and improving people’s skills.
Khawaja stated, “Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have a strong and growing partnership based on mutual growth and digital progress.” “The GO AI Hub Pakistan will help people work together on new technologies, give young people digital skills, and speed up our shared vision of a future that is connected and based on knowledge.”
The new GO AI Hub Pakistan will be a place for AI and digital innovation, with an emphasis on sharing information, growing skills, and developing technical talent. Plans also include for building data centres, improving Pakistan’s digital infrastructure, and setting up a technical training centre for new technologies.
Yahya bin Saleh Al-Mansour, the CEO of GO Telecom, said that the relationship was very important for the company’s strategy. He said that the company’s growth into Pakistan helps it reach its goals of diversifying and building better partnerships with friendly countries.
Khawaja also met with Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, President of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), to talk about how to work together better on AI research and cybersecurity.
Vision 2030 for Saudi Arabia wants to make its economy less dependent on oil by making big expenditures in health, education, IT, infrastructure, tourism, and digital transformation.
The National AI Policy 2025 for Pakistan, which was released in July, intends to increase the use of AI in all areas, improve public services, and create jobs. The policy calls for starting 50,000 AI-based civic projects, making 1,000 AI goods in the area, and giving out 3,000 AI scholarships per year to boost research and new ideas.
