Pakistan endorses Hamas’s response.

On Saturday, Pakistan expressed approval of Hamas’ reaction to the proposal put out by US President Donald Trump.

This presents a crucial opportunity to achieve an immediate ceasefire, halt the slaughter of innocent Palestinians in Gaza, secure the release of hostages and Palestinian detainees, guarantee unobstructed humanitarian aid, and facilitate a legitimate political process towards enduring peace. The Foreign Office spokesperson stated in a news release that Israel must promptly halt its attacks.

Pakistan commended President Trump’s endeavours for peace in Gaza and earnestly anticipated that these efforts would culminate in a sustainable ceasefire and an equitable, comprehensive, and enduring peace.

It was emphasised that Pakistan would persist in contributing creatively and significantly to this process.

The spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause and expressed full solidarity with the Palestinian people in their rightful endeavour to realise their inalienable right to self-determination, culminating in the formation of a sovereign, viable, and contiguous State of Palestine based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy and pertinent UN resolutions.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that the declaration made by Hamas has opened an opportunity for a truce and the establishment of peace, which must not be permitted to close again.

“Alhamdulillah, we are nearer to a ceasefire than at any point since the onset of this genocide against the Palestinian people.” The Prime Minister stated on his X account, “Pakistan has consistently supported the Palestinian people and will continue to do so.”
