Regarding Ejaz Chaudhary’s bail requests in the May 9 cases, the LHC is awaiting a decision.

After hearing all arguments, the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday postponed rendering a decision on PTI politician and former senator Ejaz Chaudhary’s bail requests in three instances pertaining to the events of May 9.
The petitions were heard by a two-member court led by Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi.
Mian Ali Ashfaq, Chaudhary’s attorney, contended throughout the proceedings that the trial court had denied the bail requests in violation of the law and that the cases were driven by political motivations. He went on to say that Chaudhary could not have incited anyone because he was being held in jail in Islamabad at the time of the incidents.
The attorney insisted that there was no proof that Chaudhary was involved in any acts of violence or arson. However, the prosecution argued that despite not being at the scene or listed in the FIR, he reportedly incited workers via social media, and ten petrol bombs were found at his home.
The court held off on making a ruling regarding the bail pleas after hearing both sides.
