ECP releases the NA-18 by-election schedule following Omar Ayub’s disqualification.

The timetable for the by-election in National Assembly constituency NA-18 Haripur, which became vacant after Omar Ayub Khan was disqualified, was revealed by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday. The announcement states that the election will take place on November 11, 2025.

The public notice will be released on October 10; nomination papers can be submitted until October 13; and the list of candidates will be published on October 14. The commission has also established the schedule for each stage of the election. Nomination papers will be examined on October 17; appeals may be submitted until October 21 and will be resolved by October 25.

Election symbols will be distributed on October 29 once the updated list of candidates is made public on October 26. Withdrawals are accepted until October 28.

To supervise the by-election, the ECP has designated the District Returning Officer, Returning Officer, and Assistant Returning Officers.
