Azam Swati’s bail in the protest case from November 26 is extended by the ATC

In a case involving the protests on November 26, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in the nation’s capital has extended Senator Azam Khan Swati’s temporary release.

The bail will be in force until November 13, 2023, the court decided.

The court hearing was presided over by Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra. PTI attorneys Sardar Masroor Khan, Zahid Bashir Dar, and Murtaza Toori were among Swati’s legal team members who appeared in court.

The court observed that there was a complicated legal situation because the bail issue was being handled by two separate courts.

The final decision regarding the bail application was scheduled for November 13. The court postponed the hearing till that day as a result.

In connection with a case that was filed at the Margalla Police Station in Islamabad, Senator Swati is being charged.
