Nadeem Afzal Chan and Qamar Zaman Kaira, the heads of the Punjabi party, have been shortlisted. According to PPP sources, Makhdoom Ahmad Mehmood’s name has been removed from the list.
According to party insiders, “Qamar Zaman Kaira has been the most favorite candidate for Punjab’s governor.”
According to insiders, “the PPP with the Senate ticket will likely compensate the runner-up in the governor’s race.”
PPP sources claim that Faisal Karim Kundi, the leader of the PPP, is the clear favorite to become governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The governor of KP position is being contested by four people. According to the reports, Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, Najamuddin Khan, and Amjad Afridi are the other three contenders.
The PML-N’s approval is required for the nomination of governors in Sindh and Balochistan under the terms of the power-sharing agreement between the PPP and PML-N.
