France is considering investing in Pakistan’s energy industry.
France said on Thursday that it would want to make investments in Pakistan’s energy industry.
A French team led by Guillaume Dabouis, the deputy chief of mission, indicated interest in the matter when they met with Dr. Musadik Masood Malik, the minister of energy, in Islamabad.
The French authorities indicated a strong desire to make investments in a number of areas related to Pakistan’s energy sector, from the supply of LNG cargo to the discovery of energy resources and initiatives meant to improve energy trade, transportation, and distribution inside the nation.
The nation’s long-standing energy problems will be addressed, the minister of energy reaffirmed.
He promised that the incoming administration will approach the International Monetary Fund (IMF) with a well-thought-out plan, stressing a break from piecemeal tactics.
The French delegation also expressed interest in programs aimed at lowering line losses and reviving Pakistan’s energy industry overall.
