The AJK Prime Minister will face a no-confidence motion from the PPP.

According to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, the prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), would face a motion of no-confidence.

Faryal Talpur presided over a PPP AJK parliamentary party meeting that took place in Karachi. It was resolved at the conference that the PPP would establish an alliance with representatives of other parties in order to nominate its own candidate for the premiership. The PPP’s candidate for the job will be Sardar Yaqoob.

Sources claim that the PML-N and PPP leadership will work together to make the ultimate choice. Members of the PPP Azad Kashmir parliament attended the meeting.

It is important to note that on Wednesday, October 8, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) agreed to leave the coalition administration in AJK.

A motion to quit the government was unanimously passed during a meeting of the PPP’s core committee and parliamentary party. In addition, three PPP names have surfaced as possible contenders for the position of prime minister.

In contrast, PML-N leader Shah Ghulam Qadir stated in a statement that they would rather serve in the opposition than in the current administration, although he stressed that the party’s central leadership will ultimately make the decision.
