Our main goal is to create a calm environment for the business community: Home Minister of Sindh

Home Minister of Sindh During a news conference at the Karachi Police Office on Friday, Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar emphasized that extortion has escalated into a serious crime and a rising issue in the metropolis.
According to him, maintaining a safe and tranquil business environment for the business community continues to be the government’s top priority because Karachi is Pakistan’s economic center.
Although there are still land mafia-related problems in some places, the minister stated that efforts are being made to address them in cooperation with the Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) and other business associations. The CIA and district police are completely dedicated to eliminating the threat from its origins and have already initiated successful and well-coordinated operations, he said, adding that “the issue of extortion has been given undue hype.”
Wasiullah Lakho and Samad Kathiawari, two well-known extortion gang leaders, are based overseas, according to Lanjar. “To make sure these criminals are brought to justice, we have already written to the authorities to issue Red Warrants for their arrest and will also seek assistance from the Federal Interior Minister,” he said.
He declared the creation of an internet platform where traders can file complaints about extortion, threats, and other matters pertaining to their businesses. “Traders will be able to directly file complaints online through the system, guaranteeing prompt police response and follow-up measures.” But since community support is essential to eradicating crime, public cooperation is essential,” he continued.
Lanjar reiterated that the Sindh government is committed to creating a secure atmosphere that promotes investment and commercial ventures, as directed by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
