The president and prime minister denounce Afghan aggression and praise the army’s prompt action.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vehemently denounced Afghanistan’s unjustified aggression in several border areas on Sunday, reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to defending its territorial sovereignty and national security at all costs.

PM Shehbaz commended the Pakistan Army’s professional and successful response, which reportedly led to the capture of 19 strategic locations and the destruction of other Afghan border posts.

The PM praises the army’s prompt and forceful reaction.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Pakistan is “proud of the professionalism of its armed forces,” which responded to Afghan provocations with “strong and fearless response under the leadership of the Field Marshal.”

“The Pakistan Army has demonstrated once more how capable they are of defending us. “We are very good at protecting our borders and secrets,” the prime minister declared.

He added that “every provocation will be met with a strong and effective reply” and that there will be no compromise on national defence.

“Our armed forces have the support of the entire country. “The Pakistan Army has consistently responded appropriately to all forms of external aggression,” Shahbaz continued.

Pakistan’s sovereignty is reaffirmed by President Zardari.

In a statement, President Asif Ali Zardari also reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to defending its sovereignty and national interests.

He reiterated that Pakistan’s position on territorial integrity is unaltered and declared, “Pakistan will never accept any controversial or misleading position on Jammu and Kashmir.”

Taliban fighters escape as 19 Afghan posts are taken.

Security officials stated earlier in the day that when Afghan forces opened fire without warning across a number of border sites, including Angoor Adda, Bajaur, Kurram, Dir, Chitral, and Baramcha, the Pakistan Army conducted a decisive retaliation operation.

Multiple Afghan outposts were destroyed by the military’s counteroffensive, which also forced enemy troops to evacuate and leave their locations, leaving behind equipment and dead corpses.

While Pakistani border soldiers continued their targeted strikes against insurgent hideouts, video footage from Bajaur and Kurram shows flames engulfing Afghan positions.

“We already had our posts on high alert. According to a senior security officer, the response was prompt, well-coordinated, and successful.
