At the Special Operations School in Cherat, the Pakistani and Kazakh armies are participating in the joint military exercise Dostarym-V.
The Pakistan Army’s Special Services Group and the Kazakhstan Army’s Special Forces are taking part in the bilateral exercises.
According to a statement from the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the exercise aims to harness the historic military-to-military ties between the two friendly nations and improve professional skills through combined training.
Previously, the Fakhrobod Base in Tajikistan hosted the Pakistan-Tajikistan Joint Counter Terrorism Exercise Dosti-ll from August 4–9, 2025.
The exercise involved four combat teams from Tajikistan Special Forces and two combat teams from the Pakistan Army’s Light Commando Battalion. Every training and military diplomacy goal was accomplished.
The exercise ended on August 9, 2026. As the Chief Guest from Pakistan, DA (P) Tajikistan Colonel Muhammad Muazzam Zafar attended the ceremony among Tajikistan’s top military leaders. Throughout the conduct, the soldiers from both nations demonstrated the greatest levels of professional expertise.
In addition to utilizing the long-standing military ties between the two friendly nations, the goal of the Dosti-II Exercise was to improve the exercises, protocols, and methods used in counterterrorism operations through cooperative training.
