In the Balochistan Assembly constituency of PB-9, Mir Naseebullah Mari of the Pakistan People’s Party had contested Nawab Changez Marri of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s victory.
Re-election was ordered in four polling places of PB-9 Kohlu by the ECP, who stopped the PML-N candidate’s victory notification.
The alteration of the PB-9 returning officer was also mandated by the nation’s highest electoral body.
It is noteworthy that Nawab Changez Marri of the PML-N has been proclaimed the victor for the PB-9 Kohlu seat based on voting conducted at seven polling places.
He received 7,544 votes, and the runner-up, Nasibullah Marri, received 6,277. Previously, Mir Naseebullah of the People’s Party was deemed to have had an inconclusive result in the PB-9 Kohlu constituency. A total of thirty-one candidates were vying for the seat.
