Smuggling crackdown strengthen the economy

Authorities announced major seizures between April 7 and April 14. Among the items seized were 1.18 metric tons of sugar, 1,851 cigarette stocks, 17 bags of fabric, and Iranian oil that were spread around several regions. Interestingly, 315 and 1,536 cigarette stocks were seized in Karachi and Quetta, respectively, making them hotspots.

Furthermore, large amounts of sugar were seized: 0.77 metric tons from Quetta and 0.41 metric tons from Peshawar. Additionally, in Karachi, 17 bags of clothing were found, and in Multan and Karachi, Iranian oil was found.

With the export of Iranian oil, 2,47 metric tons of flour, 34,029 metric tons of sugar, 229,867 cigarette stocks, 245,068 cloth bags, and 3,036 metric tons of fertilizer throughout the nation since September 1, 2023, the administration has made enormous progress in combating trafficking.
